Lent
Lent: the forty days before Easter
What this journey is for
Lent is the season of about forty days before Easter, the feast when Christians celebrate Jesus rising from death. It usually begins in February or March, and Western and Orthodox churches often keep it on different dates. This journal follows the season from its first day, through Holy Week, the last week before Easter, to Easter morning, one short page a day. You do not need to belong to a church, know the Bible, or fast or give anything up to use it, and you can use it at any time of year.
When is it?
The weeks before Easter, usually starting in February or March. You can begin in the season itself or at any time of year.
Each day
A short passage, one question to sit with, room to write and one small practice. About five minutes.
