The Journal
What is on each page?
Every day has a short reflection on one Sikh value, a question to sit with, a writing prompt with space to write, and one small practice to carry into your day. Each week opens with an introduction to its theme, and six closing reflections help you look back at the end of the ninety days.
Does it include Gurbani or Punjabi?
The journal is written in English. Each week is named for a Sikh value with its Punjabi name, such as Shukrana (gratitude), Nimrata (humility) and Chardi Kala (ever-rising spirit). It is a reflection journal, not a gutka or a translation of Gurbani, and it is meant to sit alongside your own nitnem and sangat.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants a steadier daily connection to Sikh values, whether born into the faith or discovering it. No prior knowledge is assumed.
How long does each day take?
About five minutes to read and reflect, and as long as you like to write.
What if I miss a day?
Simply pick up where you left off. The pages are numbered, not dated, so there is nothing to fall behind on.
Orders & Shipping
Do I need an account to order?
No. Checkout is handled securely by Stripe. You only enter your email and shipping address.
Where do you ship, and how much does it cost?
Journals ship from Montreal, Canada to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Australia, New Zealand and India. Shipping is $10 for a single copy and free on two or more.
How soon will it ship?
Orders ship within 2 to 3 business days, and you will receive tracking information by email once yours is on its way. Delivery time depends on your location.
Can I send it as a gift?
Yes. At checkout you can ship to a different address from your billing address and add a gift note.
Do you offer bulk pricing for a gurdwara, class or sangat?
Yes. For 10 or more copies, email hello@thepracticejournal.com and we will put together a price for you.
What is your return policy?
We accept returns of unused, unopened journals within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping is paid by the buyer. See our Terms of Service for details.
The App
Is there an app?
An iPhone app with the same ninety days, daily reminders, a home-screen widget and PDF export of your journal is coming soon. Leave your email below and we will send one message on launch day.
Will there be an Android version?
Not yet. The printed journal is the best way to begin on any device.
